SUNDAY 28 JUNE

Sunday's show will, sadly, be the final English language programme on Radio One Marratxi for the time being, and I've lined up a terrific guest to help us sign off in fine style: Liam Live, top singer/songwriter, joins me with his new album Phoenix - literally hot off the press! We'll play some tracks from it and find out what's going on right now in Liam's life.

We'll also hear, for the last time, from our voice of the north, Ann MacDonald.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow from 10am til 1pm.

Cheers

SUNDAY 21 JUNE (Father's Day in the UK)

Sunday's officially the first day of summer - though on Mallorca it feels as though it's been summer for ages!

My guest this week grew up in Scotland, and has had a varied and challenging career in education. She's been head teacher of a British international school in Moscow and now lives on Mallorca, where she's the head of the British International College.

We'll be hearing about Glynis Mitchell's interesting career, exciting plans for new educational developments here on the island and her life on our lovely island.

And we'll catch up with our Voice of the North, Ann MacDonald, who's been on one of the new guided walks around Alcudia Old Town. Find out all about it this Sunday!

Join me from 10am until 1pm on 92.9FM.

Cheers!

SUNDAY JUNE 14

Last Sunday, we told you about a young couple, Emily and Ben, on holiday on Mallorca, who found themselves in a difficult situation when pregnant Emily was told she'd have to stay in hospital here until the baby was born. We had a great response - so thank you for that . . . although as you'll hear this weekend, the story had an unexpectedly good ending.

This week my guest is the UK-qualified health visitor and midwife who brought their plight to Radio One Marratxi's attention. Nayna Alonso grew up in the same north- west London street as the model Twiggy (though not at the same time!). She's always worked in the medical field, but has also taken time out to travel. Now happily married and with two small children, she lives and works on Mallorca.

Nayna joins me on the show tomorrow and I hope you will too. Tune in for chat, news, weather and what's on for your entertainment - and, of course, Mallorca's music -
from 10am til 1pm.

SUNDAY, JUNE 7

My guest this Sunday is a Liverpool lass who suffered a family tragedy last year - but was motivated and inspired by her loss to create a very special centre in Binissalem to help other people. Hear Nicky Whittaker's story this Sunday when she joins me in the studio for a chat.

As usual, we'll keep you up to date with everything you need to know about life on
our lovely island, and play you Mallorca's best music.

I hope you'll join me, by tuning in to 92.9 FM Sunday from 10am until 1pm - and remember that Oliver Neilson will be on air tomorrow, Saturday, 10am - 1pm, with a round up of the week's news, events and sport.

SUNDAY MAY 31

My guest on this Sunday's programme first came to Mallorca to work in the year that The Archies had a hit with Sugar Sugar (1969, in case you wondered) and - apart from one summer spent working on the Costa Brava - she's been here ever since.

Lynda Walsh Furling has recently notched up 31 years working in the same hotel, the Hotel Cala Sant Vicenc, where she is now the directora. Lynda joins me for a chat about her life on the island, what it's like to run a hotel - I'm sure there'll be a funny story or two - and more.

Join me on Sunday from 10am for conversation, news, details of what's on for your entertainment on the island and great music too.

Catch you then!
